CENTINEX: European Tour Cancelled
June 29, 2005Sweden's CENTINEX have cancelled their previously announced fall European tour. The group's official statement on the matter reads as follows:
"The co-headlining European tour with IMPIETY scheduled for September-October 2005 has been canceled due to reasons completely beyond our [and] Shadow Smile Booking's control. CENTINEX feels both pissed and sad about this cancelation but we do everything in our power to still get out on the road in late 2005 or very early 2006."
CENTINEX's new album, "World Declension", is scheduled for release in North America on August 23 via Candlelight Records USA. The album was released in Europe on June 27 via Cold/Regain Records. The vinyl version of the album — a limited picture LP featuring alternate artwork — will be released by Swedmetal later in the summer.
The follow-up to 2004's "Decadence - Prophecies of Cosmic Chaos", "World Declension" was recorded at Black Lounge studios and is "the most well-written CENTINEX album by far with everything from share brutality and speed to calmer melodic parts," according to a posting on the group's web site.
A CENTINEX/WORLD BELOW split 7" EP, entitled "Doomed Death Blow", will be released by U.K.-based Conquer Records. Limited to 500 copies, the EP will feature one track each from both bands' latest albums.
